Blasts from the past
Many of us are used to seeing recipes pop up on our feeds. Some are from well-known magazine publishers. Others are from bloggers who’ve amassed online fandoms, like Skinnytaste, Smitten Kitchen, Food52, and Chocolate Covered Katie.
And then there's TikTok… a virtual goldmine for original recipes, not to mention a motherload of genius kitchen hacks. In this issue, we’re sharing recipes favorites from TikTok.

We’ve tried it. We liked it!
Baked feta pasta (pictured above) Considered TikTok’s most popular recipe ever! And we understand why. The aroma and sound of a creamy, melted block of feta and jammy roasted cherry tomatoes being folded into shaped pasta is something extraordinary to behold. Super easy and super delicious.
Butter boards (pictured top of page) A beautiful twist on a charcuterie board, unsalted butter is whipped until soft and blended with your choice of herbs and/or spices, along with any topping(s) you choose. The result is impressive. Serve with plenty of warm, crusty bread and wait for the compliments. Be adventurous and try vodka butter for a taste sensation.
Carrot ribbon salad Just watching the video will have you craving veggies. This healthy and surprisingly addictive salad is a family favorite and very refreshing. And speaking of carrots…
Carrot bacon We were skeptical but pleasantly surprised by the smokey, crispy texture of this vegan bacon. Perfect for topping any kind of burgers, sandwiches and for nibbling.
Green goddess salad Healthy rarely tastes this decadently delicious. Best scooped up on tortilla chips. From top TikTok influencer, Baked by Melissa.
Salmon rice bowl A single ice cube is the secret ingredient for this viral recipe that took TikTok by storm.
Easy ice cream cinnamon rolls This delicious ice cream hack turns refrigerated cinnamon roll dough into something truly spectacular.

Drink it all in
Whipped lemonade (pictured above) In the warmer months, this refreshing take on lemonade is more like dessert. Try using pink lemonade and make pink ice cubes with a raspberry or two in each. Or spike it with a splash of vodka.
Whipped hot chocolate Comfort food in a mug! This version is rich and perfect for cold days.
Dalgona coffee (whipped Korean coffee) became an overnight sensation on TikTok (and our household). Make it with milk or a favorite alternative.
Triple-berry sparklers For this or any other summery beverage, the secret ingredient is freezing berries in coconut water ice cubes. Oh, the possibilities!

Blasts from the past
Oh, the 1950s. There were poodle skirts, Elvis, and Ford Thunderbirds. And, then there were some pretty shaky Jell-O recipes (pictured above) on many American kitchen tables. But this era also brought us some iconic foods:
Flavored potato chips
Tastes and times may have changed, but little replaces nostalgic foods and the memories they bring back. Go retro and try a culinary blast from the past!
